As We Lay...

As you lay...
I walk in the room and see you
Curled in the bed like a fetus
Your head slightly protrudes from the covers
Just enough to see strands of your hair graze you silky skin

As you lay...
I want to wake you, but I refrain
Angels need rest too
Oh how I wish I were the cover and sheets
That sandwich you...what a meal you are

As you lay...
I hear your soft breaths as they fill the air with freshness
[Sniff air] Oh how sweet those lips must be
A treat that only your lip gloss can achieve...at this point
You shuffle and whisper, "Come"

As you lay...
I lay with you
Wrapping my arms around you in efforts to be one with you
Lets paint this room red as our hearts leak into one another
Producing the perfect coat

As we lay...
Stroke after stroke of the perfect coat is flawless as it sets in
Lets sleep in through the next morning as if time is irrelevant
As the paint still dries
We get high...off love, life, and catch a contact from each other

As we lay
